First things first, I wanted to create a retail environment that I’d want to shop in.
A place that has a definite style but one that could be tailored to suit a variety of personal tastes. I surrounded myself with what I think are some of the greatest products on the market at the moment. With so many brand stores showing off their “one” look, I wanted to “marry” my favorite manufacturers and display them, together in a design studio that feels modern, relaxed and inspiring.
I love to soften bedrooms with Unison’s beautiful bedding and cushions. I use Cavern’s hand screen printed wallpaper to stage MASH Studio’s LAX series bed that enhances the character of it’s solid wood construction. I dress up dining tables with Heath Ceramics which can turn any table into a masterpiece. I offer radios and media players from Tivoli, Geneva and Vers which offer a relaxed and simple design element all of their own.
My studio is located in the Five Points shopping district of Jacksonville, Florida. With it’s immediate popularity, we decided to launch our online store nest-living.com. Because shopping online can sometimes be not a very personal experience we tried to make our online store feel as warm and welcoming as possible (just like our studio!).
