Maharam have reissued a series of pillows that display the works of some of the twentieth century design luminaries Ann Albers, Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, Koloman Moser, George Nelson, Dagobert Peche and Verner Panton. A contemporary foil to their archival counterparts, the collection also includes recent collaborations with British fashion designer Paul Smith, Dutch industrial designer Hella Jongerius and New York based illustrator Maira Kalman.
The Mikado is a playful interpritation of organic forms inspired by Girard’s travels to Mexico and his fascination with traditional folk art.
